Cold email template generator

This free cold email template generator turns three short answers into ready-to-edit cold email templates: who you write to, the problem they have and what you offer. You get three templates with different openings and one follow-up, in Terlido's variable syntax. It runs in your browser and uses only the words you type, so nothing is invented and nothing is sent.

Your inputs

A role and type of company, for example: operations managers at small agencies.

A short phrase, for example: client handoffs get lost between sales and delivery.

Finish the sentence: we offer... For example: a checklist tool that keeps every handoff in one place.

A real customer result or fact. Leave it empty if you have none. Never invent one.

Your inputs stay in this browser. No account needed.

The templates use only the words you enter. Nothing is sent and nothing leaves your browser.

How to use this tool

  1. Describe who you write to, the problem they have and what you offer. Add one true result if you have it.
  2. Pick the next step you want. The generator fills three common cold email structures and a follow-up with your words.
  3. Copy the templates into your sending tool. {{firstName}}, {{company}} and {{senderFirstName}} are filled for each contact when you send with Terlido.

What the result tells you

  • The templates use only the words you enter. Nothing is sent and nothing leaves your browser.
  • Read every template before you send it. A template cannot know your contact, so add a personal line where you can.
  • The wording checks are writing signals, not a spam-folder or reply-rate prediction.

What this cold email template generator writes

A cold email is a first email to someone who does not know you yet. Most good ones have the same parts: a reason to write to this person, the problem you think they have, what you offer, one piece of proof if you have it, and one clear question. This generator puts your answers into three common structures and adds a short follow-up for people who do not reply.

It is not an AI writer. It does not guess facts about your product or your contact. That is on purpose: a template with a made-up result or a fake compliment does more harm than a plain one. You stay in control of every claim.

How to use it

  • Describe who you write to as a role and a type of company, for example: operations managers at small agencies.
  • Write the problem as a short phrase that fits after 'For a lot of them,'. For example: client handoffs get lost between sales and delivery.
  • Write what you offer as a short phrase that fits after 'We offer'.
  • Add one true customer result or fact if you have one. Leave it empty if you do not.
  • Pick the next step you want: a reply, a 15-minute call, permission to send an overview, or the name of the right person.
  • Read the templates, pick one, and add a personal first line for each contact before you send.

The three templates and when to use each

  • Problem first: opens with the problem your audience has, then your offer. Good when the problem is common and easy to recognize.
  • Question opener: asks what happens at the contact's company when the problem shows up. Good when you want the reader to think about their own process.
  • Short and direct: one line on the problem and your offer. Good for busy senior readers and for mobile.
  • Follow-up: a short reply in the same thread for people who did not answer. It repeats your question and gives an easy way out.

Worked example

With the audience 'operations managers at small agencies', the problem 'client handoffs get lost between sales and delivery', the offer 'a checklist tool that keeps every handoff in one place' and the 'reply' next step, the first template is:

Subject: Question about {{company}}

Hi {{firstName}},

For a lot of operations managers at small agencies, client handoffs get lost between sales and delivery.

We offer a checklist tool that keeps every handoff in one place.

Is this something {{company}} is dealing with right now?

{{senderFirstName}}

Make each template personal before you send

A template is a starting point. Before you send, add one line that only fits this contact: something from their website, a recent post, or a reason you chose them. Keep it true and specific. Then read the whole email out loud and cut any word the reader does not need.

The tool also runs the same wording checks as the Terlido spam checker on each template, so you see shouting subjects, too many links and similar signals before you send. These are writing signals, not a prediction of where the email lands.

What the variables mean

{{firstName}}, {{company}} and {{senderFirstName}} are Terlido variables. When Terlido sends a campaign, it fills them for each contact and for the mailbox that sends. If you use another sending tool, change them to that tool's syntax before you paste.

Frequently asked questions

Is this cold email template generator free?

Yes. It is free, needs no account and runs in your browser. No AI service or paid provider is called.

Does it write the email with AI?

No. It fills three fixed cold email structures and one follow-up with your own words. It never adds facts, names or results you did not enter.

Does it include a follow-up email?

Yes. Every result has one short follow-up to send in the same thread a few days later if there is no reply.

What should I put in the proof field?

One real fact a reader can trust, such as a customer result you are allowed to share. If you have none yet, leave it empty. Never invent a result.

Can I send these templates with Terlido?

Yes. Paste a template into a Terlido campaign step and add the follow-up as the next step. Terlido fills the variables for each contact, and a reply stops the sequence for that contact.
